INGREDIENTS (Serves 4)
-
1 lb grass-fed ground beef
-
2 tbsp Fat & Fire Bourbon Smoked Beef Tallow
-
1 cup diced golden beets (peeled)
-
1 cup diced organic sweet potato
-
1/2 cup diced red onion
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tsp fresh grated turmeric root (or ½ tsp ground turmeric)
-
1 tsp fresh grated ginger root (or ½ tsp ground ginger)
-
1 tsp smoked paprika
-
1/2 tsp dried rosemary (crushed)
-
1/4 tsp black pepper
-
1 tsp unrefined sea salt
-
Optional: 1 tbsp raw apple cider vinegar or lemon juice for brightness
INSTRUCTIONS
-
In a large skillet, heat Fat & Fire Bourbon Smoked Tallow over medium-high heat.
-
Add diced beets, sweet potato, and onion. Sauté for 7–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until veggies begin to soften.
-
Add garlic, ginger, and turmeric. Stir for 1–2 minutes to bloom the aromatics.
-
Push the vegetables to one side of the pan and add ground beef to the open space. Break it apart and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and rosemary.
-
Once the beef is browned and fully cooked, mix everything together in the pan.
-
Reduce heat to medium-low and let everything simmer together for 5–7 more minutes so the flavors marry.
-
Optional: Stir in apple cider vinegar or lemon juice for a touch of acidity and brightness.
-
Serve hot. Top with a fried pasture-raised egg, fermented kraut, or a sprinkle of microgreens for added anti-inflammatory benefits.
WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS
This dish was designed with an intentional balance of nutrient-dense whole foods to fight inflammation at its root.
-
Grass-fed beef provides zinc, omega-3 fatty acids, and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), all of which help regulate immune function and lower inflammation.
-
Golden beets and sweet potatoes are rich in carotenoids and betalains, which have antioxidant and liver-supportive properties.
-
Turmeric (curcumin) and ginger (gingerol) are two of the most researched natural anti-inflammatory compounds available.
-
Garlic and onion contain sulfur compounds that support detoxification and modulate immune response.
-
Fat & Fire Smoked Tallow is a stable fat with a high smoke point, rich in stearic acid and fat-soluble vitamins. Unlike seed oils, it doesn’t oxidize and cause inflammation.
Together, this synergy helps you fight back against the silent damage of modern inflammatory triggers.
